I'll probably stop taking new additions by this weekend.
I've decided to update this journal every day with my haiku and any information about how the project is going. We now have 14 poets including myself, so by the end of the month, we should have about 434 haiku! Hopefully this well generate more interest in the form and writing the form in a correct manner.
Update/Request
Just as a reminder to those seasoned haiku poets that are participating and/or watching this wrimo(you know how you are), the point behind this whole exercise is to learn and grow as poets. So I want to request/encourage that each of the poets who feel comfortable with writing haiku, go and spend some time looking and commenting on those poets that are new to the form. This not only helps the new haiku poets, but it will also help you discover more about your own poetry.
